question NJSP

I have a bearcat BCD-996 and butel software I put in the NJSP csv file via radioreference and I get nothing ,it does scan you see the IDSCAN and the areas but I hear nothing.Any ideas?
I have an old file NJSP and it works....odd?

By the way the NJSP is all set to quick key 2 .
if that helps....

oddly i dont see troop a,b,or c on the display .
I do see north simulcast,princeton,south simlcast,etc

Did you add the groups also when you downloaded the system also ? because you say you cant hear anything while its on scan id mode, there is an option to download the groups also when downloading the system, you have to check off what groups you want right before you download the system, if not youre not gonna have any, either that or if you did download them maybe you locked them out ?

I checked off everything all talkgroups and anything I saw on the page,so I have no idea ,I even put quick keys assigned for the sites to see if the scanner just couldnt handle it. So I am clueless as to whats wrong.
Usually all I do is download what is available then it just works(when it comes to the NJSP file).
I never lock out anything unless something is defaulted as lockout.

i dont know then what the problem would be, where at in nj are you ? the reason i ask that is because im in riverside nj, and i cant pick them up at all due to loss of reception, and i know other people around my area cant get them either, towns like riverside, cinnaminson, delanco, theres a few towns around here where its like very hard to get a signal.

I know you're trying to help and I appreciate that, but ya missed the fact that when I put my old NJSP file in ,it works.
Is the new file bad?I think so.
I live in Clifton a few miles from Bloomfield Police Barracks on the GSP,also I have 2 antennas one is a base with gain and one without,I DO receive them with the old file....

sorry i forgot about that part about you having the old file, but just to tell you i did download the new file myself about a week ago and it works fine for me i dont know what happened on youre side there.

all i did was use the butel software also, i went into butel, then i connected to rr, then i picked the state, then clicked on trunked systems, then i picked the state police, then everything popped up, i selected all on both sides, one for the frequencies, and the other side for the talk groups, then i picked a quick key, then i imported it too the butel software, then i sent it too my 396 xt and it was done, the reason i redid mine is because there was a lot of updates for this system, in the last month. hope this helps you Danny...

Thats so weird,I tried the same thing and it didnt work on my 996.Someone did post the frequencies for it rebanded on here and i put those in manually and they work! Weird huh?Even came up with outside agency in the display by itself.wow.
I just have no idea if I have all the troops....

maybe it was just a simple error when you did it the first time, i know ive made plenty of mistakes so far in here.
