Union County Police is now using talkgroup 4279 (its in the DB already). I believe they switched yesterday. RIDs are in the 2000xxx range.

TG 4285 being called "PATROL 2" and showing Union County RIDs.

Montclair was doing some testing. Called TG 4341 "Channel 1" / 4343 "Channel 2" and 4349 "Channel 5." So I'm guessing 4345 will be CH 4 and 4347 will be CH 5. Unfortunately, they didn't ID further so I don't know if it's Police, Fire or EMS. Channel 5 was running ENC on and off.

I don't think FD will be moving off their conventional repeater. Seems to be 100% functional all over town. PD uses FD2 whenever they're in dead spots on the current typeII system. Not sure about ems either, sounded like the town didn't want to pay for new radios for them. Thanks for the update!

I also have a Middlesex Affiliation on 4371, so it looks like whoever it is has several talkgroups setup.

Edit:TG 4387 just popped up.

That was my thought. If anyone is in the New Brunswick area, keep an eye out for 700/800 antenna's on the rigs.

4379 just popped up,4351 was active a couple of minutes ago in TDMA.

Edit: speaking of TDMA it looks like the DOT crew area TGs are starting to switch over, the south ones anyway.

I caught some interesting activity on the West Orange Simulcast...

TG 4215 sounded like law enforcement surveillance. RIDs 14512, 14513, 14514 and 14515. TDMA. 4217 is listed in the DB as NJSP encrypted tac, so this might be in par with that. I have not seen these RIDs on the NJSP system before though.

TG 4307 RID 2000949. Possibly another Union County TG.

Now here is the interesting one....

Caught TG 261...a 24 car (RID 524xx) calling County (RID 705xx). The same RIDs and TG appear on the Morris County UHF P25 TRS (POLICE 5) for Morristown PD. Looks like someone was playng around with patches. I had to do a double take at the scanner to make sure I wasen't misreading things but it was definatley coming over 700 on the West Orange Simulcast.

I noticed something yesterday, B2-3 became active yesterday on Hunterdon. I checked the Unitrunker logs, and there wasn't any radio affiliation that would cause the channel to be broadcasted. The first thing that showed up was the dispatch console.

I have seen a radio affiliation in the past that would make a channel live on NJICS, nothing this time.

I think it may be one of the Union County talkgroups. I heard EMS 5390 calling County on it and County acknowledged them, but then they switched back to 4273 which is their main dispatch.

Had a chance to do a little listening to the New Brunswick site and a few of the recently discovered Middlesex County talkgroups and discovered...

4373 - Was identified as "Ops 1". This might possibly be Rutgers Emergency Services? (units in the 200's, including 212 & 217) heard doing testing in various locations/places on the campus (and in the general area of named buildings on the campus)

4381 - Was identified as "Ops 2". Happen to catch same users as above mention they were switching over to "Ops 2 and then this talkgroup became active with same unit numbers.

I'm not 100% sure what unit numbering Rutgers ES uses, perhaps someone else can confirm if Rutgers ES does use 2XX's for their numbering.

Now for the bad news...there was mention that both Ops1 and Ops2 would be encrypted :-(

Default New feed on Proscan (NJICS)

Just got my BCD536HP set up for Proscan. Still fooling with the audio. I have it searching NJICS (Hammonton & Berlin Sites) along with Camden County 700 MHZ system, and numerous other areas of South Jersey.

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks

Good stream. Seems like a little lag via Proscan, though. Not sure If that's fixable or not with some settings changes.

Does the bcd436 automatically monitor these unknown/new TG's within the system or do they have to be manually added? I don't own the radio and just curious if all transmissions are heard either way, or do these new TG's have to be added/programmed into the system to be heard?
