The smoke drift into PA was 3 prescribed fires going at the same time in Ocean and Burlco counties. Not an uncontrolled brush fire as BNN reported.

Fuzy, I would rather be under the glideslope of MAFB watching the "toys" going in rather than have endless 24/7 air traffic circling the NJ suburbs east of PHL and the mob scene around EHL. When it gets busy around here it makes me wonder who is gonna get dumped on over in the ME/Af theatre.

I suspect the 2013 McGuire/Ft Dix Joint Base Open House and Air Show is not going to happen. The domain http://www.jbmdlopenhouse.com/ has been parked by an ISP, nor is anything shown on the JBMDL event calendar.

Ah, the sequester "cuts*... thanks Obama, Congress, pfft!

Default Burlington County East talk group

Is there a reason that the East talk group is not listed?

The East district was merged into the NE district last year. See http://w2xq.com/bm-scan-nj-burlington.html#district_map. I am still seeking the current TG list; simplification was to be completed 1q 2013. HTH.

Oh wow! Thank you very much! On the Burlington County Fire Chief Assoc site, they still have East. That would make sense totally to merge them to the northeast!

As a whole, the Burlco FC web site is very much out of date, for reasons that I do not know. Dates give you a clue. Some firehouses are closed, some have merged and I wouldn't trust the completeness of equipment numbering.

Very good point! They were good on updating there site, but the last few years it has fallen to the side. But it is the best county FD information site that I've ever seen!! I wish that every county would do the job that Burlington County Fire Chiefs did!!!

Well, I put together the page for Burlco because I was tired of the very old info scattered across the web. Not trying to compete with RR but to have a one-stop reference easily read by a smartphone while on the go. For me anyway, despite living in the county since 1965, I still have trouble keeping district numbers, other numbers, straight. With help from other RR members I opted to add some info for the surrounding NJ counties. Contributions welcome. HTH.
