Yes. Us folks in Public Safety have moments where we get frustrated. Some of us, get aside from normal character; and get angered, meet someone whom gets on our nerves, meet the most dumbest people in the world, the incident / scene is a total cluster, or a co-worker ticked us off......AND WE go off. But that being said....The land mobile communciations system, hooked up to about a 300 watt repeater, is no place to do it.
We are human, and we are not perfect. Peoples tempers will flair in aggrivating situations. I try to forget the whole incident after it has happened.
I have been doing this for about 20 years. All the dieting and exercise does not prevent one from loosing their temper. Sometimes, there are more factors involved in ones ( L/E - FF - EMT ) rage than one single incident or person.
FF - Medic !!!

An F bomb every other word, "mmm Ritas is on the right over the hill" "1970's f-ing Marsha hair ain't movin'" and "this stupid f-ing Mexican was driving like 5 miles an hour" are some of the more choice transmissions... Makes me feel real good about those that are supposed to be protecting our nations railways

Should of heard me on the road ch when a car tried to run over me, or the day every thing on the lead loco was on fire but our cab at 50 mph. happened a lot when I was on the road.

Yeah, 'cuz, I mean, you can't expect them to obey laws or anything, can you?

Just because the cops use that channel doesn't mean it HAS to be them. Isn't that channel programed in every train radio?

Wow that's going a little overboard isn't it? Two words, DUE PROCESS (in all caps since you seem to write like that)

Just about every law enforcement agency has a published set of rules - proper radio use is included in the ones that I have seen. Give date, time, any identifiers (car number etc) and send it to the Chief of Department.

Cursing On Air?
In response to Confuzzled, you are EXACTLY CORRECT, here in the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF N.J., (COMMUNIST STATE). The local cops especially, are the MOST IGNORANT, COCKIEST, of ALL because they think they have "POWER" with a gun and ah badge, and some NJSP, are also the same!! Don't get me WRONG, there are a few GOOD APPLES, in the bunch!! But their hard to find the NICE ones here in the Federal Republic Of N.J.!!

A "Federal Republic" are the good guys. A "People's Republic" are the bad guys. The old West Germany was a federal republic. The old East Germany was a people's republic.

I know it's in all the MTA Police vehicles displayed as "RRPD I/O" and allegedly used as a railroad/transit interop channel.
Also the majority of the people I work with seem to feel nobody monitors our talk around frequencies. Years ago more training was offered on radio use, and today the new guys know it all.

At risk of making this thread off-topic, considering some of the crap our LEOs have to deal with, I don't think letting the odd word slip through here and there is such a sin.
And "ScannerGuys": Seek help. That sort of negativity towards Law Enforcement officers speaks to a much larger issue than just swearing on the radio.

If you really want to hear some cursing, Go to the Live Audio and locate the Amateur Radio Repeater Los Angeles. All they do is curse and I'm surprised the FCC has not shut them down yet.
