Default PSE&G - Spen 1

Tonight during the storm on the PSE&G Trunk system talk group 32080 was broadcasting Spen1. The first time I heard it I thought something was wrong with my radio but heard it again 20 minutes later. Does anyone have any information in regards to this?

William Paterson University has talkgroups on PSEG's trunked system; including William Paterson PD. They have one talkgroup they use for a SPEN 1 patch. It's not linked all the time.

Is this the 900MHz system that's in the data base? I thought they did away with that system.

Yes, this is the system listed in the database.

That's correct. Same system as the database. Talkgroups are pretty accurate too. I know ConEd went to a private Nextel system like Disney World did. Maybe that's what you are thinking of?

Does any one have the talkgroups for William Paterson University PD? If so, please post here and or send a submission in to RR so they can be added to the DB

Thanks

Pursuit,

3211 for FACILITIES 1 is that a 4 digit trunk talkgroup or is it a 5 digit. The rest are 5 digits. Just double checking to see if perhaps your missing a digit for this talk group? Thanks

In theory when a trunked system has a patch "any" frequency can go into the patch. What I mean is VHF frequencies can go into a 400, 800 or 900 MHz system. So don't be surprised if you hear West Paterson PD could be patched on there too.We could sit here and come up with hundreds of scenarios here. It's safe to say if something happens at William Paterson, the Paterson emergency services or whoever will be able to communicate with the University

West Paterson has nothing to do with William Paterson University. Most likely Wayne PD would have a Patch from their P25 System, and North Haledon PD would possibly be rebroadcasted from their VHF-HI Freq. Those two towns would be involved since the campus is primarily in Wayne, North Haledon also borders it as does Haledon.
