Hello, seems that in recent years many hospitals have started EMS based systems such as Hackensack, Holy Name, Englewood etc etc, I was wondering if we can start a running list here. The Meadowlands hospital as also started a hospital based EMS system. Thanks in advance for any info.

As more of these Hospital based BLS units are being placed into service I was reminded by an now "old Timer" of a Volunteer Ambulance Corp - that way back in the last century ~1982+ when the first Paramedic unit went into service from Hackensack Hosp the NJ First AId Councill opposed its operation as a transport ALS unit and kept the fight so Hackensack Hospital for over a year operated the unit as an 'experiment" within the City Of Hackensack; when it was settled that Paramedics would not be transporting the Vol Squads endores expanding the response area; why no protests from the FA District with these Hospitals taking calls in thier towns...

Im not trying to step on anyone just trying to clarify some info on atlantic as knowing that they geographically relocate their units through out the shift and union county seems to have a lot of overlapping on contracts for BLS EMS.

Atlantic units are actually as follows:
EMS 3 - Sussex County Floater and Newton primary 6a-6p 7days a week.
EMS 4 - Sussex County Floater 6p-6a 7nights a week
EMS 6 - East Hanover Mon-fri 6a-6p
EMS 7 - Fairfield Mon - fri 6a-6p
EMS 8 - Mountainside & Watchung Mon - Fri 6a-6p and Providing Response for Psych Calls in Plainfield as well as back up to the other atlantic units in Union County
EMS 9 - Union County Floater 9a-9p mon - fri and provides back up for EMS 8 and EMS 10 and if need be EMS 6 and EMS 7.
EMS 10 - Watchung & Warren Twp. Mon - Fri 6a-6p and also provides response for psych calls in plainfield as well as EMS 9.

The medic Units for atlantic are all SUV's
Medic 1 - mountainside
Medic 2 - Summit
Medic 3 - Chatham - day time only unit
Medic 6 - East Hanover - Day time only unit
Medic 7 - Mountainside
Medic 8 - Bloomfield
Medic 11 - Morristown
Medic 12 - Liberty Corner

All Atlantic units are now dispatched by MONOC
