The new system is one big simulcast zone so all towers are transmitting the same control channel frequency at the same time.

The towns that use MUNICIPAL PD 1 have migrated today to the P25 system - since I'm working in PA today, I can't confirm the TGID.
Anyone else out here tonight that can confirm the TG? Thanks!

I concur with John, there are a bunch of radios affiliated with TG 257. I've been recording audio on the HP-1 all day, haven't had a chance to review it yet, but most of what I've heard live suggests it's definitely Municipal PD 1.

So much for straight TG conversion from the Type-II...

I am only seeing 257 on my HP-1, but the audio is so bad I can't even make anything out. I may try and move my discone and see if I can improve things.

Actually, TG 2113 (aka 33808) is also active, but appears to be a patch from the Motorola system onto the P25 system. Earlier today I was seeing both 257 and 2113 active simultaneously on different frequencies whenever a call was made. That makes some sense to broadcast the Motorola TG over the P25 system until all users are transitioned to the P25 system.

Thanks for picking up on that!
At least I have something now to put in the 396 & HP-1.

Here's a list of all the RID's that were associated with TG 257 today. The 70xxx are consoles.

I shifted my discone around and also found that one of my connectors were a bit loose. The system does sound much better now....about 70% of the time anyway.

That usually means the signal recording level is too high. You can get away with clipping a Motorola control channel signal. No so with P25. If the peaks and valleys of the waveform are flat, your signal is clipped. They should be curved.

I can confirm TG 774 Unid ID 43185 at 7:30am today. I had some trouble decoding it even though the RSSI was 421. My BCD396XT threshold settings are default at 50 and 8 with the most recent firmware.

TG 774 is being used for testing and chatter among the system techs.

Yes the home patrol will work. Took a trip to hackettstown and the signal is full bars here. Sounds fantastic on my PSR800.

TG 260 sounds like MUN PD 4.

At least we're now looking at what one would hope is logical incremental numbering:
257 - MUN PD 1
258 - MUN PD 2 (assumed)
259 - MUN PD 3 (assumed)
260 - MUN PD 4

1541 is a Fire Response TG, I'm just not sure which one so I held off on submitting it. I was hearing Stirling Fire on there today, so whatever TG they're normally assigned to on the Moto system, 1541 would be the P25 equivalent.
Also hearing some testing in the last half hour on some Fire/EMS talkgroups. I've got the HP-1 recording, I'll review the recordings in a little while and see if I can figure them out.
The CC changed for the first time today from 477.800 to 478.000.

I think that's Fire Response 5. I forgot to update the Type-II usage assignments when Long Hill came on board...

Ah okay that makes sense, I didn't see Long Hill anywhere on that list. It also makes sense because the TG's they were testing a little while ago were 1537 and 1538. I haven't listened to the audio yet, but I'm guessing....
1537 - Fire Response 1
1538 - Fire Response 2
1539 - Fire Response 3
1540 - Fire Response 4
1541 - Fire Response 5
