There seems to be no problem with the feed, as I hear everything coming across both my County radio and the feed. I do know that those two towns have been quiet for most of the day today.

Feed is down. Do not know when it happened, but I assume the battery died?

Question

So will the feed be making a return eventually? I understand that everyone has more important obligations in life, especially now around the holidays, but it has been down for about a week with no word. Hope to hear it again soon...

Thanks again for all you do Mr. Pearsall, and happy holidays to all!

Hi guys:

I talked to Bob earlier today and due to his new work schedule and equipment issues, he can no longer host the feed. Sorry to break the bad news to all of you.

There are ways you can monitor them again. The classifieds section of this website has a few ProVoice capable radios listed for sale. eBay and Craigslist may also have a few up for sale, though I'm not sure. And you could always try out the Digital Speech Decoder method listed in the wiki that others try out, though I have trouble with that (which is why I have a County issued radio instead)...

Within the past few minutes I've heard a few transmissions from HPPD dispatch (and now one from an officer I believe, a simple "10-4") on the old police dispatch frequency of 460.4250. Unfortunately due to my scanners degrading condition, I am no longer able to "sit" on the frequency, so I couldn't exactly make out what was said and I could be missing transmissions (due to comms on other frequencies while scanning).

Obviously this would not be anything permanent (as the County TRS seems to work quite well for the HPPD), but could there be some sort of problem that has caused the use of the old frequency? Or is this possibly just a case of "hitting the wrong button", as the HPVFD is currently operating at a scene as well?

EDIT: Well, it must be more then hitting the wrong button, as I just heard the following comm - "Headquarters to car 10, just checking your status over there", "xxx has just arrived". So, any word on this from anyone? Guess I'll enjoy this while I can!

Highland Park has been experiencing some problems with the County radio system today. Radio Techs have been testing on their talkgroups all day. I'm thinking it must be the way that the HP radios are configured, since I haven't heard any trouble with any of the other agencies using the TRS. Expect them to switch back to the County TRS once "all of the bugs are squashed..."
