The old NJ Turnpike police channel if I remember correctly .......before the days of the present 800 trunked system.

Questions

I believe that is correct- it was a former NJSP frequency!

It appears they desired to separate from the FD communications. Best of my knowledge fire remains on 155.1450.

Over the years Shrewsbury have had both county and local dispatch. Not real clear if this move indicates a permanent move toward local agency dispatch? I suppose time will tell?

Interestingly Shrewsbury has several new licensees in VHF. Perhaps a new FD repeater as well? Just thinking out loud?!

Hearing fire department activity this morning on 151.1525 (repeater) DPL 143, with regard to an incident (MVA?) in the area of Obre Place & Samara Drive.

Subsequently, the fire department was dispatched for a fire alarm call on 155.1900 DPL 743.

Fire and EMS are dispatched on the 155.190 repeater. Fire then uses the 151.1525 repeater as it's fireground. OEM and DPW stayed on 155.145. MCPR may still be dispatching Shrewsbury Fire and EMS on 155.145 for no apparent reason.

Looking at the FCC Database, it looks like the inputs for the two new repeaters (155.1900 & 151.1525) are 159.3900 & 159.4200. I don't know which one goes with which repeater, but you can program them and see what you get.
