I just picked up "EMS Response 5" as TG ID 1285. County MAB bus responding to a fire rehab job in Mount Olive. Im assuming that there is also a TG ID 1284. Not listed in the DB, I submitted it. Anybody else ever pick up this TG?

A few unidentified talkgroups I've logged over the past couple of months. I don't log the system 24/7, so this list is just a casual observation. Talkgroups in red are encrypted.

GTR8000 what program do you use to log the talk groups?

Morris County New Talkgroup....

About two weeks ago while monitoring the Morris County trunked system I came across a talkgroup not in the database:

TG 30481
RID 705137

Conversations were "Parkway Supervisor" and "Post 14." That's all I caught while driving through. Sounded like a patch.

I'm not saying it was in this case but remember all these numbers can be received wrongly when the signal is weak or there is interference.

So if you are getting the numbers from the captured .AU file you will occasionally get incorrect numbers.

Conversely incorrect numbers don't usually stay on the scanners' display very long at all, so if you saw them showing steadily there they're probably real.

I don't believe that is the case. They had a UASI patch on their system that's in the DB. I'm thinking it was brought over from the State system.

30481-4 is PSIC 1-4 which is a patch to the state trunked system. They're in every county radio. I've submitted them to the database in the past but whoever took the submission I guess decided it wasn't worthy of adding.

*Edit: I've resubmitted them to the database.

Your submission from a few years ago was rejected due to lack of any specifics. Even your latest submission is kind of vague, but that's likely no fault of yours.

Do PSIC 1-4 "Patch to the State 700 Trunk System" have any specific functions as far as which talkgroups on the NJICS they're patched to? Or are they simply ad-hoc patches that can be patched to a multitude of NJICS talkgroups, and may vary each time a patch is setup?

They're ad-hoc and can be patched to whatever they choose on the fly. So it will likely be different every time they're enabled.

I figured that were ad-hoc as all the locations mentioned were "Parkway" which I was assuming was the GSP but could have been Normandy Parkway. The RID was what brought me to the State system, but I didn't see that one in my RID file so I don't know what they were patching over.

More and more secure talkgroups are showing up on the system every week. Why does EMS need a secure talkgroup?

So far I've logged 782 (30E) 798 (31E) 814 (32E) 830 (33E) 846 (34E) as secure talkgroups.

I've also logged a handful of talkgroups in the clear, some follow a pattern others do not so they could be patches.

I am curious to know if anybody has logged 1543 yet. Assuming this should be added to the system and starting to be tested as FD response 7 as parsippany fire starts the transition over to the county.

What frequencies do Morris County EMS agencies use to give reports to the area hospitals while enroute? Since I don't see a trunked talkgroup(s) maybe this is it and they decided to encrypt it????

As far as the others,
270 LE SECURE 1
286 LE SECURE 2
(For Municipal agencies)

782 CG SECURE 1
798 CG SECURE 2
(For County Govt non LE agencies like OEM)

814 ??? Probably Prosecutor...if you send me Unitrunker logs I could figure it out.

830 CGLE SECURE 1
846 CGLE SECURE 2
(For County Govt LE agencies like Sheriff, Park Police and Prosecutor)

I've had 1543 and 1544 occasionally pop up while logging, which means they are provisioned on the system. No recent activity, however.
