Propagation great 2/17 at night?
Last night was doing some searching on 800 mhz range and picking up many control channels.
Loaded the active cc's and was able to receive Resorts Int'l and Harrahs Casino (both MOT Type II), a distance of 44 miles from Voohrees (Camden Cnty) as measured by Google Earth. This was using a pair of rabbit ears (my off-center fed dipole) from my second story listening post. The dipole minimum dimension was 20.5 inches.
Resorts was good and Harrahs was really booming in. Interestingly, could not pick them up with with my home made 800 mhz yagi.
I have never gone after the AC casinos before and wonder if conditions were especially good last night, or is this typical of MOTs Type II? Cherry Hill, an EDACS system, is the next town over, and reception is quite staticky.
