Is it worth putting in the scanner, at all?.

For the most part no. I run hot and cold with it myself, although I do run Unitrunker on it 24/7. I have found a few things of interest such as Red Cross, NJT Incident Command and sometimes NJTPD when they switch over to trunk. If there is a derailment or a major bus accident, then you will want to turn the system on.

I agree. Program it, Have a listen. Good for traffic updates from bus drivers, but you will tire quickly from long winded conversations and widely used spanish. I keep mine locked out but ready in case I need it.
