Question Scancat-Lite software & Burlington County

I have a friend that purchased a Radio Shack Pro-96 scanner. They purchased Scancat-Lite programming software. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the software. I personally have never heard of it until they gave it to me to use to see why the scanner is not picking up any Burlco systems. If anyone has the software & is using it with Burlington County, please contact me as I would LOVE some help with this.

As a trial, I downloaded the WIN96 software, connected the scanner to that & read what the owner programmed in it already. I did download someone else's Burlington.p96 file for a comparison (sorry I don't remember who the file author was to give credit to). From what I can tell, it appears that no talkgroup ID's were programmed in. I tried the Win96 software due to a lot of positive posts about the user-friendliness of the software & Radio Shack scanners.

I personally own a Uniden BCD-396T & after this first experience with the Radio Shack Pro-96, I can attest to some of the earlier posts about how much more user-friendly the Uniden scanner is. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Exclamation

Do a search here on RR for ScanCat or ScanCatLite and you'll find lots of complaints. Personally I'd stay as far away from it as possible. WIN96 is the way to go.
