Default Going To Be In Albuquerque

I am going to be in Albuquerque in a few weeks for bowling. I am bringing my PSR-500 along and was wondering what I could pick up in the area. From what I see on the TRS most of its Provoice so I am wondering what else is there out there. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry nobody is showing you any love....

You are correct when you state that most of the public safety TRS is provoice, however I would still program it for you can hear the dispatch for APD along with AFD.

NW of ABQ is Rio Rancho in Sandoval County and their pretty fun to monitor, its all VHF. If you like airplanes or military stuff you can monitor the Airport and Kirtland AFB. FYI, there is a lot of crypto stuff on the AFB TRS.

Hope this helps a little.

Yes Rio Rancho is fun to listen to, I actually might get a job there dispatching. Los Lunas and Velencia county are boring.
