I will be traveling through Hobbs on Friday - if nobody updates by then I'll take a listen... I know they were in line for the nextel crap, but I had no idea they were that far ahead of the curve...

Your help would be great! I emailed back the guy who asked me what happened to them, and suggested that he dropped all the freqs by 15Mhz to see if that fixed, but he never got back to me.

Thanks!

Okay - I took my LPE thru Hobbs on Friday, Sunday and again Monday - and the radio (programmed and authorized by Hobbs FD from my past life) and never could lock onto a control channel (none of the sites). . . I do know they got the new radios last summer, so it's about time for the reband to have taken place.

Try to lower every freq by 15Mhz to see if that might be an easy fix for the rebanding...

Try these freqs, I'm sure they are not in LCN order, but they might be the new rebanded freqs.

Forgive me for asking but could you please articulate exactly what it is you mean by "sites". If you speak of the talkgroups - I have been able to track every talkgroup since the CNTL Ch. switch a few weeks back without any issues however, today, the system is having problems resolving 860.21250 effectively. Transmissions are getting delayed signifigantly but I suspect they will have that fixed soon....every transmission I have heard resolved on that freq today has been requested to be repeated.
If this is not the info you were hoping for please let me know.

Regards,

Scooter

Take a look at the DB. Scanner Frequencies: Hobbs / Lea County Trunking System, Lovington, New Mexico

It shows that there are 5 separate repeater's for the system. That means all of the repeaters should have new freqs as well. Do you have any other info on the system?

With 860.2125 as the CC, there might be an error with the LC order.... just a thought

I will try to be as brief and to the point as I can here. I did submit an update for the database in care of the cntl ch. being 854.26250 which is now reflected online. ALL of the sites that are listed can be heard in either 1 bank or in seperate banks as long a person is utilizing the freq 854.26250 as the active cntl ch. With that - EVERY talkgroup in lea county is currently "trunked" off of that one frequency. 860.21250 is not a cntl channel and the 866.58750 freq that is listed as a cntl ch for the simulcast is currently incorrect as well. There is no modulation on that freq that would suggest in any way that it is a cntl ch. Also, the highest freq (within the table listed) used so far has been 860.43750. I am still looking at a couple of things before I submit another update so as not to provide incorrect information but I have had no issues for two weeks strong using the cntl ch. and the LCN order provided in the earlier post. So in closing - Currently, If a person was to program their unit as per "Site 003" alone....it WILL resolve all sites. Hope this information clears some things up for anyone who might need it.

Hobbs did re-band last month. The only thing that changed on the Hobbs tower are the last two Freq. I have the new Freq. for all the other towers somewhere I will try to find them for you.

Hobbs/Lea County has changed some of their freqs. I have 2 control freqs programmed in with a total of 20 for the whole system with no issues. If someone is interested I could post what I have programmed an in the order it is programmed.
