Dave,
Thanks for the signal report. The antennas for the UHF link are now on the roof of my house on the south side of Santa Fe. There is an omni for the eventual 444.875 (or perhaps 444.675 depending on how the coordination works out.) and a beam pointed at WD9CMS for the link to 444.775. The link radios are currently configured as a repeater (as you know) and are on the omni right now to get a feeling for coverage of the eventual 875 (675) machine. The spec'd bandwidth for the antenna is 430-450, and it is operating out of that spec on the link radios right now. Hopefully it will only get better.
As a side note -- the WD9CMS 927.900 machine is linked to the UHF repeater, and I can bring that up full quieting from the UHF side, even on the omni antenna, so that should be pretty solid when we get the link with the beam going and get the duplexer out of that signal path.
Another side note -- I am starting to think about collecting the stuff to build a 900 MHz repeater to hard link to the UHF repeater at my house. I need to finish the UHF repeater, but the wheels are turning.
