Just a fyi for those interested in SP scanning. The southern smaller communities/districts and other areas in no man's land districts around the state are getting upgrades replacing the older VRS extender bricks to DVRS (digital) brick units and uhf xts portables rounding up the last of the good size chunk of units running mts2000s, ht1000s, and kenwood/icom portables for the extenders. Mix and match are going out of xts series 5000 model 2s, 2500 1.5s, 2500 m2s, and some areas in metro areas are getting APX 4000s portables for the extenders or if which ever is in cache or available other brands capable of p25 compliant operation allowing dvrs function flash option, voting scan, ip, etc. Eventually all equipment will be p25 compliant including mobiles, portables, mobile extenders which in the long run will have p25 communications and work is continuing in progress for the LTE broadband applications in the metro areas and or where LTE is pheasable statewide allowing enities on the system LTE broadband capability for devices to ptt communicate and push audio, video, images with units having there own Hotspot for officers and those needing use of the LTE system nearby the unit (secured of course). We all know how the open lands in NM and dead zones in canyons get so it will be where pheasable and capable for LTE use and where the unit LTE brick can push it in and out to the master sites if out of range. So it's a working progress still but happening more so.

I've apparently heard some of the new hardware, in analog mode. It is annoying because there is a "digital delay" listening to both the VHF frequency and the UHF at the same time.
