Default Santa Fe Sheriff--changes?

Hey,

Dispatch is telling people to go to the "new channel" as of 3:08PM today. They are doing tests...I am trying to track down what is the new frequency. Dispatch is referring to it as the "new repeater".

3:30PM

so...many units are being sent to A-1 to have their radios reprogrammed.

I can hear transmission on 154.785 only.....loud but not clear from units or dispatch.

Thanks ABQscan. I will try those. They are probably for the city's police trunk system.

Why the county (sheriff) and city (police) don't have consolidated radio system is a mystery to me.

What I think I have learned in the last couple hours is the following...

90% sure
Ch.1 input 159.09 output 154.785 (the old channel 2)
This is not coming in as well as the old 154.65...

Have only heard 2 verbal references...so not so sure about the following.
Ch.2 input 158.79 output 155.43

Still hear traffic on Ch.3 input 159.45 output 154.01 ...which is used by fire as well. Most reliable repeater in some areas.

so.....what are they doing with good ole 154.65? (The old dispatch) Maybe they are giving it to Edgewood? Santa Fe county also has 155.19 licensed to them.....maybe the new input for 154.65?

If anyone out there living closer to SF than I do could do some monitoring that would be great. Especially someone close to the Edgewood area. We could learn a lot.

Thanks for any help.

Interesting.... a couple of days ago while commuting in ABQ I heard very weak transmissions on State Police channel-4 154.92. They sounded like base and mobile units, and were giving "Santa Fe" in their unit id's. I didn't listen long enough to figure out exactly what it was. My first thoughts were that some sort of temporary repeater, or patch was in place. I just assumed it was State Police stuff, but maybe??????????? (I always hear channel 4 traffic from Gallup (via Mt Taylor) and Socorro, and this wasn't the same.)

100% voice confirmed

154.785 ch.1
155.430 ch.2
154.010 ch.3 (used by county fire as well)

All are repeater off Tesuque so you can hear both sides great. They are still having some glitches occasionally.

Ok...here is what is going on in the City of Santa Fé for the last couple of days.

There are two trunk licenses according to the FCC (Bases stations listed only)

WQBI580
855.2125
855.4875
855.9625
856.2375
856.9375

WQHN231
855.9875
856.2125
857.2125
858.2125
859.2125
859.2375
860.2125
860.2375
860.4875
860.7125

The City has taken the two licenses and mixed and matched the frequencies into two systems

One control is 859.2125 used for police, fire, and something that sounds like a senior shuttle.

The voice channels are the 5 freqs from WQBI580 and 4 freqs from the other license.

The other control is 857.2125, used for many city functions.

I have only heard voice on two freqs. 856.2125 and 860.2375

That leaves 3 freqs that have been dead silent. 859.2375, 855.9875, 858.2125

That is all I know as of now.
