Default Moto Radius GP 300 program?

Hello...

I saved 2 GP 300 radios from the trash because one will not receive but will transmit. Is this a programming issue? How does one do this or where do I take it? Are these like regular walkie talkies?

Thanks, Tim

Probably not anything to do with programming unless someone was messing with programming it.

Those are getting pretty long in the tooth nowadays--

I am pretty sure I get your point, but have to ask...

"long in the tooth"? I have never heard that expression before.

I was hoping that the age was a benefit that would mean they were "made tougher back then"..

What is it that you're asking... what's wrong with them? Really... we have no way of knowing. And what do you mean by "regular walkie-talkie"?

"Long in the tooth" means they're old.

Didn't mean to come across as an idiot. Of course you can't fix it on line, but after reading about programming, I was wondering if this radio's issue sounded like a programming issue or a real failure. As for 'walkie talkies', there are $20 pairs that reach one mile while visible and ones with much more range. These units are pretty substantial, but I don't think they use a repeater...just communicate with each other. No idea if UHF or VHF or range. I opened the unit that was not receiving and now it works fine. Can I find a manual on these? I have no idea what the other 2 smaller buttons do. I did find new batteries on ebay.

Thanks, Tim
