Question Radio Shack Pro-2096 Programming

Have the above mention radio. Trying to get reception on a local trunked system. All the freq's are programmed in. When the scanner stops at a frequency the voice is muffled and a DG appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Is there any other things I need to set to get it working?

DG means digital and thati s normal.. what system are you listening to? & what antenna are you using?.. may be too far from the tower, in that case may need an outside antenna

Listening to Sherburne County MN. I'm using an mobile antenna inside the house sitting in a window. Does the muffled voices indicate an antenna issue or something I need to prog differently. It is project 25 type system.

On the reply to thread page you can attach the program file to your thread so others can move it to a program used to read it. I use Win96 if you don't program your scanner I may not be able to open your file, but I will look at the area you are trying to program in just a minute.

I have win 96 also. I can load that file. I'm most interested in bank 0. I had no problem with reception using the mobile antenna I have been using. Give me a moment to figure out how attach the file

Have you put in the tower site nearest you? All the red and blue CC's? It seems that you only have 4 or 5 TGID's for your county. You should be able to hear what ever else you program in for TG's.
