Thanks for the posts guys! Well, I live in Massachusetts, if that helps at all. Like I wrote in my original post, I don't seem to be missing anything. I've been listening to alot of the same channels (police,fire,etc) for a long time. I'll have to look into whether or not any of the local areas plan on switching to digital.
This may sound like a stupid question, but if someone broadcasts in digital, I have to have a digital scanner to receive the signal? The reason why I ask, is like I wrote above, I don't seem to have lost many channels that I've been listening to for awhile. Things like airlines, utilities, stuff like that. Who broadcasts in digital these days? I'd think that the airlines would have upgraded to digital, yet I can still receive them.
Sorry for any dumb questions. I've had a scanner for years now, but Im honestly not that up on them. I plugged it in, programmed it from Police Call, and just let it go.
