Default pro 162 help

I am trying to attempt to reprogram new frequenies in my scanner since springfield IL city PD and county PD have gone to starcom project 25. I have had advice to enter custom ranges in but don't really under stand this. What is the base frequency? what is the upper and lower frequency? whats the offset? What is the correct spacing? I don't even understand any of these terms. And is my scanner even able to hear this new set-up.
The springfield new freqs are: 851.11250 -851.48750 -852.07500 -852.32500c -852.67500 -852.85000a -853.37500a -857.36250 - 858.21250

I was using the trunking setup before and was hearing them fine before the rebanding. Thanks for the help it was hard enough to get the original freqs setup but now if it is possible I have no clue.

If your PD and SO have gone P-25, you will not be able to monitor with your Pro-162. The 162 is an analog scanner that will not pick up digital transmissions. For that you need a thicker wallet.

don't confuse rebanding with a switch of systems. They're two separate items. Springfield Police is in fact now on Starcom, and that radio will not receive Starcom as stated before.

I see no notes that the local trunked system actually rebanded...ask in the IL forum for someone local who my know better.
