I wonder if it is permissible?

If you look at Terms and Conditions of RadioReference.com it states:

7. NO RESALE OF SERVICE

You agree not to sell, resell, or offer for any commercial purposes, any portion of the RadioReference.com Sites, use of the RadioReference.com Sites, or access to the RadioReference.com Sites.

Do you work for radioreference?

So are the three police scanner apps that are on the app store and have been on the app store for the past 6 months or so -- these are illegal?

What about wunderradio? This also seems to use radioreference content.

I don't understand -- why would radio reference care -- the service is free on the internet.

thanks-
matt

I don't know about the iPhone, but you can hear the streams on an iPod Touch. Of course you need to have a WiFi connection and change the default player to iTunes and it works just great! The only downside is that you will keep getting these very annoying popups telling you that the maps can not be displayed until you download the latest Flash Player and for some reason Adobe and Apple don't play nice together at least on the iPod Touch.

I listen to RR Live Audio Mobile on my iPhone all the time and it's free. When I select a live stream, the iPhone Quicktime player opens up and plays the stream. It works on Wi-Fi, 3G and Edge. Best of all, it's free, no app required.
