Default 996xt

I have conventional and Trunked systems downloaded ( finally) in my scanner, but when i turn it on and hit the scan button it scans the service search channels only.It did scan the other systems, but i could not leave well enough alone. Can someone steer me in the right direction to turn the service system off.

I am a newbie as well, but I had the same thing happen. I used Freescan to load my 996XT and in freescan at the top under scanner menu set scanner options, then went to service search at locked it out. Never did find a way to do it on the unit itself, using the freescan sofware is much easier.
