Does anyone know of any modifications for this scanner. I've been seeing members indicating some of their scanners are modified....??????

Well, there are mods and there are mods. No mod will get you P25, rebanding, Encryption decoding, LTR systems, or cure male pattern baldness

I would think those who have modded our 95's added a discriminator tap for Control Channel decoding, and bypassed the headphone output volume limitation. Both are quite easy if you know your way around a soldering iron.
