Default Pro-94 Programming

Hi. This is my first post, so be nice to me! A little about myself. I have been a local volunteer firefighter for the last 5 years. I have owned a RS Pro-94-b for several years and have been able to pick up conventional channels with it without any issues. Within the last year our county (Fire/EMS/Police) has went to a digital system, and I am interested in programming the new system into my scanner.

I have read the manual and the "easier to understand manual" http://marksscanners.co/94AB/94AB.shtml. I have a very basic understanding of how the system and the programming works.

I have also pulled up the frequencies for our area. Fulton County, OH Northwest Ohio Regional Public Safety System Trunking System, Toledo, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies

I still have no idea how to program the info below, into my scanner. Any help?

The PRO-94 can not receive digital. Start saving your pennies and when you get about $400 worth you can buy a digital scanner.

Sadly, what was said above is correct. If you want to be able to continue to monitor, you will need one of the following:

GRE PSR-500 (Handheld)
GRE PSR-600 (Base)
GRE PSR-800 (Handheld)
RadioShack Pro-106 (Handheld)
RadioShack Pro-197 (Base)
RadioShack Pro-18 (Handheld)
Uniden BCD396XT (Handheld)
Uniden BCD996XT (Base)
Uniden HomePatrol (Base)

And some older Unidens:
BCD396T (Handheld)
BCD996T (Base)

It appears (cannot confirm) that the Fire Department is still at least partially transmitted on conventional VHF on 154.31 MHz if that's any help.

I intentionally left those, as well as the Pro-96 and Pro-2096, out as his area requires him to have 700MHz trunking. None of those units can do 700MHz.

diamond71, if/when you get your new scanner lets us know, there are many great people here, we will get you up and running, some of those scanners are a little tricky to program
