Default Interruptions in transmissions...

Hi all!
When I listen to my local PD / Fire transmissions, every broadcast is interrupted with a steady (every 1 sec or so) pattern of silence throughout the transmission. I get most of the conversation, but it's irritating to have momentary interruptions. The interruptions occur in a regular pattern and last only a moment. I use both a BCT15X and a handheld Bearcat. Both do the same thing.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks in advance!
Jamie

Sounds like you have either priority or close call selected.

Default Maybe This?

Having Beartracker enabled will do the same thing also.
Have you read any of Mark's "Easier to Read" scanner manuals?
Clicking-here will get you to the site.

Good Luck

Your radio is reverting to some kind of priority channel you or someone else has set into the program. Find the priority setup and disable it and the program will then stop its jumping back to see if anything is going on in the priority channel's location. Some radios display a ""P" to indicate that the radio is scanning for a priority signal.
