Cool Programming 396xt

I found a few frequencies I'd like to monitor and noticed the some of them are using a Motorola Type II smartnet and others are using a EDAC system.
Can I simply enter the freqs and monitor or do I tell the scanner the type of system and freq then monitor?
Thanks in advance.

Along with the Easier to Read link already given, here's a wiki article with lots of links to help you get going. The DMA scanners are something of a challenge - there is a learning curve to them. Take your time and read up first...

Note that anything blue is a link...HTH...Mike
