Smile Any scanners with an auxilary input jack?

Like the title says. I'm looking for a mobile scanner with an auxiliary input jack. Do these exist? I'm new to this and I tried to use the search feature but it yielded no results. I'm looking to install a scanner in my car where the radio would be. I do not listen to the radio but would like an auxiliary input jack so I can play my Mp3 player through it. Is this an option? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Links would be great! Thank you kindly.

Forget it, many issues, what you will use for amplification and speakers, playing MP3 via scanner !!! ???
This is one crazy idea for scanner enthusiast.

Does your car have a 'double din' sized radio , or possibly a cubby hole that could be converted to a din sized hole?
With a Double Din you could do like I did and then you have the option of playing the scanner thru the stereo, or run a handheld thru the stereo and the mobile by itself.

Nice setup! My car is double DIN. I don't why it would be a " crazy idea" to make a single DIN amplified scanner with an auxiliary input jack? As a matter of fact I'm shocked that this doesn't exist, if in fact in doesn't. I like your setup squeezing a stereo and scanner in that double DIN spot! I might have to go that route.

Back in the '80's Audiovox sold an underdash equalizer the size of a pack of cigarettes. Seems you could have that to control your speakers, and the scanner and MP3 as sources, plugged into the EQ. Plus the added push from the EQ and 5 or 7 bands of Hz for bass and treble.

This way, when the scanner is stolen you can still play MP3's.
