Looking to purchase scanner

Not sure where to start... Looking for either base or mobile, but it has to has to do starcom21.
Looking for any make and model suggestions.. New or used...

Have you gone through the Illinois forum? They may have suggestions of radios over there, but likely your best bet would be a GRE PSR 800, which will set you back some $$, especially since GRE is likely not going to be making any new radios any time soon, if ever...

The pro-197 or pro-106 does starcom21 just great, plus there are still a few floating around. :wink:

i have a pro197 it was im 1st and olny scanner right now. if you get it get the usb to it helps a lot.
but with the pro 197 you can here it all i love mine.
