Yeah, I bet this comes up a lot, but hopefully I'll ask it a different way. I live close to the Denver area. Lots of communities to listen to with lots of cooperation, and a TON of repeaters some with a TON of frequencies. What it comes down to is that as I'm listening to a state patrol operation I can cross three counties, three different CSP zones, and 10 different repeaters.

So, the question is: I would like to sort the systems on my BCD396XT by service (law, fire, etc) but for each system I need to set up 19 repeater sites with about 140 frequencies for continuous coverage. Is it reasonable to repeat this site list for every system? If I have 10 systems, does the radio now devote memory for 190 repeater sites (and about 1400 frequencies), or is it smart enough to keep a single frequency list in memory?

I am also dealing with the shortcomings of copying all this in Freescan, but that's a different issue.

Thanks in advance!!

That's the system. Sounds like a lot more reading to do. Thanks for the tips!
