Default Can you recommend a book?

Hey Everyone,

I'm wanting to increase my overall knowledge on frequenies, terms, trunking etc. I'm reading the forums as much as I can, but I'm hoping to find something that I can read that will help too. So many things to learn like trunking, digital vs analog, SSB. Any recommendations that give a crash course or detailed information? Any books, websites or other knowledge sources that you have found to help you out, please send my way.

Thanks!

Hi there!

Look no further than our very own wiki! Main Page - The RadioReference Wiki

There's a special section for new folks such as yourself that explains all the basics, called Links for Newcomers. Should contain everything you need to know and best of all, it's free!

Welcome to the site and the hobby!

And be sure to look to the left and slightly down for our LW/MW and HF Gateways, which cover lots of topics on comms below 30 Mhz
