Hi, I dont even know if i can post at this forum....

I need help to pick a Icom radio to fit my peltor comtac and msa sordin.

Reason: there is a u94 ptt with Icom plug to fit my comtac and msa sordin.

So, I am looking for a UHF 400~470 handheld radio with keypad programmable (I dont know how to program)

Use: for Airsoft.

If there is any other radio to suggest please do so >"<

Mainly looking for UHF 400~470 with submerible radio for combat use. If it is a dual-band VHF with UHF is fine too. And easy to program with keypad.. Please help me >"<

PS:I am a noob

I take it you are looking for a transceiver and not a scanner. What frequency are you licensed for?

There aren't really any commercial icoms that are keypad programmable. If you are able to purchase the software and cable, get the ICOM f60. It's submersible, 400-470mhz and an all around rugged radio.

And I don't believe Ham radios can be used outside of the 430-450 range. And if in that range, a ham license is required, although I'm not certain hams would appreciate paint balls. Your posted Icom F4161 if your best bet.
