Hi,

Picked up a SX-190 receiver couple of months ago. Use it now and then. Yesterday I switched on and noticed the '5 Unit' signal strength monitor had stopped working. At first I thought I'd weakened the antenna connection somehow then tuned in to Radio Cuba (?) - LSB 300khz Band 5.7 - from the UK, so the aerial's ok. Tonight I got Radio Taiwan 'Free China' on AM setting, Band 5.7, 290khz.

So what's the deal with the 5 Unit meter please - it used to perk up as soon as you hit a good signal, now it's stopped completely :-|

Thanks,

Ric

It may have simply broke. If the reception still seems good, then you should be OK. Most built in meters aren't really good enough to give you any significant info anyway.

Thanks. Noticed it started to move around after a while, but only on very strong signals i think.
