BCXLT and Project 25 Phase I

I just moved to Greater Charlotte, NC from Madison, WI where my BC780XLT TRUNK TRACKER III met all of my scanning needs (systems there were Motorola Type II Smartzone). In trying to fire up my scanner to monitor local traffic here in NC, I discovered that the main system for Charlotte/Meckenburg County's fire/police/public service/etc. is a "Project 25 Phase I" system. I can't seem to "connect" to this system and was wondering if my scanner was even compatible with it? Can anybody help me? Please advise. Thanks in advance for your replies!!

The "Project 25 Phase 1" system is a digital trunk system. The BC780XLT will only follow analog trunk systems. You will need a digital scanner listen to Charlotte/Meckenburg county.
