How do I get starcom21 with Motorola type I and II trunking scanner?
I got a radio shack pro 94 1000 channel scanner from a yard sale. I have never worked with trunking yet, and want to get Illinois state police district 13, du quoin, il. But when I look, it says it has a starcom system. But I see no instructions on how to program it with my scanner.
Does anyone have an explanation how I can get this to work with mine. I live in a rural area so I don't really have a way to experiment with trunked systems except for state police. I might also be in range for southeast Missouri, perryville, I think it falls under troop c.
I live in randolph county il, and am within range of jackson county, perry county il, and perry county, mo. I wlready have conventional scanner codes., i just need to know about how trunking would work in my area.
Can anyone help get me started to where I can program my scanner to get those items or see if there are Motorola systems in my area?
