Hello,

I understand Allen county Indiana PD and fire is encrypted.

My question: Is there any reason to purchase a digital scanner for this area?

Thanks in advance.

That stinks that all your public safety is encrypted. They must not realize the benefits of the public being aware of what is going on and have the ability to assist them.

I guess you could listen to ISP, aviation, railroad, businesses, and anyone else not encrypted. You also may be able to listen to your adjacent counties as well.

Exactly.

This is why I am wondering if a digital scanner is a waste of time?
