Win500 problems

I try to download to the scanner a Radioshack pro 652 and get the error message unable to open port 9 :2 com 9 doesn't exist.How do I fix this problem?

Check your system settings, to see which Com port your cable is presenting as. Then set the software to use that Com port

I looked up the port setting and changed them and it fixed it.I figured it out before you posted it.I knew it had to do something with the port settings.Sometimes you ask for help but you play around with the setting and it fixes it.
