Yes , no one knows better than your local members of your local state forum , it would be logical to ask locally first , rather than a General Forum such as this.
The majority of members here will give you a hand up rather than a boot down So, if you run across a bad apple resist the urge to be baited into an argument.

If you are new here , welcome and have fun.

Default State, County, Brand, Model

When asking for help, like others have written, you need to tell us the STATE & COUNTY where you want to listen and WHAT you are interested in hearing. Some people are just interested in a local "city PD" and some want to hear everything their scanner can pick up around the state. Also, tell us the brand & model of your scanner. There are more and more cases where people are trying to listen to something that their scanner simply can NOT be programmed to receive.

I love it when the members come up with something that deserves a sticky. Consider this stuck for a couple of months or so. However, please don't ask questions here, ask them as suggested in the above comments.

It would be nice if people would just fill in the nearest city and state in the location part of their profile. Kind of like "Lee County"....there are several states that have a Lee county.

[Moderator Edit: This user is perfectly aware that his location is not present in his profile, he is merely suggesting that people seeking help should do so. Please stop posting the obvious (and off topic) comments about this user. I am getting tired of deleting them. ]

Excellent suggestion, include the City and State of your location in your post.

I also tend to tell folks 3 things over and over.

Freqs are found in the DATABASE here using the link at the top of the page.

Information on trunking, how to program your scanner, what tones are used for, and other stuff is found in the WIKI here using the link at the top of the page.

Location specific questions might be best answers in the region forum that cooresponds to your location.

If you have to contact a admin, try sorting it out with one of the moderators first. They can usually solve most problems, but if you have to contact the Administrator you should send a email to webmaster@radioreference.com for help.

Thumbs up

Each brand of scanners has its own forum as well. If you are having a problem with your Pro-95 try the Radio Shak forum for help.
