I'm looking for some recommendations on how to program my scanner..

I have 10 banks with 100 channels in each bank.

1 has to be dedicated to Nassau Trunk, (not that there's much to listen to there), so I have 9 to work with.

Here's a what I have come up with so far for a plan:

Bank 0: Nassau PD
Bank 1: 1st Batt
Bank 2: 2nd Batt
Bank 3: 3rd Batt
Bank 4: 4th Batt & Lynbrook PD
Bank 5: 5th & 6th Batts
Bank 6: 7th Batt
Bank 7: 8th & 9th Batts
Bank 8: Suffolk Fire
Bank 9: Nassau Trunk

Question is this:

Am I wasting space by keeping Batts in their own banks?? I guess I could consolidate to make room for some other freqs..

How do you guys do it??

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

The problem with listing by batt is that they share low band freqs [46.12, 46.20, & 46.32]. Your going to have to put up with two other batt's traffic on each freq. Try alphabetical, you'll use up all the space in a bank and then some.
