I've been listening on 155.5875 for about a month now, and I've heard a few PCSO communications on that frequency, but a lot more still on 156.030 . However, I have been hearing a lot of off frequency communications on 155.5875, and finally realized that it's the town of Haverstraw in Rockland county on 155.5950. I guess they're too close in frequency (7.5khz) and proximity (maybe 5 miles) for either my 396 or 996 to separate.

Ron, are you hearing both sides of the communication on 156.030, and is the PL still 103.5? Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it. I'm just trying to nail down the narrowband frequencies.
155.5875 is the new PCSD Channel 17. They are testing the frequency for coverage in Phillipstown & Putnam Valley. When they are satisfied they will use that as the primary PCSD channel and 156.030 will become the dedicated 911 channel for those towns. Right now PCSD & 911 "share" 156.030

Yes, I still hear 2 way traffic on 156.030 Mhz. I have no idea what their PL is---It does not show on the screens of my 396 or 996. I see a lot of people in the forum say that their scanners display the PL and the frequency---neither of mine do--they only display the frequency. Do I have something programmed wrong ???

I am Dispatcher 410 wil Putnam 911. I am an Ex-Chief and Life Member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. I currently live in Lake Carmel
Ron, I think the 156.030 PL is 103.5 Sometimes I hear traffic and that PL pops up on search.
As far as your radio, Ron, go into the CTCSS/DCS setting and scroll down to search. I have the narrowband SO channels set to search, and found the new Control 17 PL to be 110.9.
I have confirmed EJS1810...I stood by the window of the county courthouse, and I guess I was in perfect line with the AT&T tower. Static, but heard Control and the deputy on the repeater. I did find the link from the SO to the towers, but I'll be keeping that to myself. Thanks for all the help!
