Adam is the first ESU unit assigned to a Truck.

For example if One Truck in lower manhattan has two REP's assigned to it the first will be designated the "Adam" unit and the second will be the "Boy" unit

The truck as in " Truck 1" is usually a Supervisor, and a cop/detective and that is the Big truck. The Adam is the next REP which is the smaller truck, and Boy the Second as so forth. Very rarely do you hear a Charlie or David.

The REPs used by Adam, Boy, etc. are marked squad trucks, vehicles based on a heavy duty pickup.

ESU Units
Thanks for the info. I have seen the smaller trucks on many visits to NYC.
