Hi all,

I know that Roch. NY police and Monroe Country Sheriff are on a Digital system and the freq's for fire and Ambulances still work on freq's >>> 154.xxx - 155.xxx I also heard airport freq's in the >> 113.xxx area

Scanners... BC 2500 XLT and BC 92XLT

My questions... What are the freq's or how can you find them. Can either of my scanners pick up the new digital freq's (up in the 850.xxx - 869.xxx)

Thanks

If you had looked back just a week or so in the threads here in NYS, you would have seen:
http://forums.radioreference.com/ne...-forum/167238-new-radio-system-monroe-co.html
http://forums.radioreference.com/ne...orum/170427-can-anyone-rochester-confirm.html
http://forums.radioreference.com/new-york-radio-discussion-forum/170682-ogden-ny-police-dept.html

All of these threads discussed Monroe County's switch to P25 digital for all law enforcement in the county.

The short answer is that you now need a P25 compliant digital scanner to listen in on the police. The frequencies are mostly the same and can be confirmed here in the RR reference section and on NF2G - New York. Both sites were updated within days of the change back on January 10th to show the new information.
