Nassau CERT on EDACS System

Hi all,

Does anybody know what talkgroup the CERT team in Nassau uses on the EDACS TRS? I have 04-022 listed in the DB as Cert but it's under the Sheriff's Department so it's not clear.

Edit to add: I know they don't really use it, but I am told that one is assigned to them, so that's what I am looking for.

I would imagine the one under the sheriffs would be sheriffs cert--Corrections emergency response team or Sheriffs Emergency Response Team depending on the county.

Yeah, that's what I thought... I figured that CERT wouldn't be under the Sheriff's Office.

In Nassau County the Corrections Division of the Sheriff's Department operates all correctional facilities (adult) and is responsable for the transport of prisoners as well. There is a CERT channel on their radios, but since they would only have a need for this on a short range (tactical) basis I would guess it may not be on the trunked system. Just a guess.
