Has anyone heard any non-encrypted voice on this system yet?

Also, when I "hold" on the CC in the P25 trunking mode, I hear nothing.
When I "search" that frequency the data is audiable.
Back in the trunking mode all the details of the data [SID etc] are displayed.
I'm seeing this on both my 396T and 996XT.
Is that to be expected?

Yes that is normal for a true P25 system. The control channel data is muted by the radio when the radio is set for true P25. If you manually put the control channels frequency in a memory location in the conventional receive mode you will hear the data noise.
I have yet to hear any voice traffic on the system, but I admit that I do not monitor it very often.

Well, It's a very strong signal, if there is ever anything in the clear, it won't be hard to hear.

yes it is pretty strong even up here in Ct.
Have you actually heard encrypted transmissions already on the system?

Most of what I heard on the system are on talkgroup 1 during daytime.

Like others, I don't monitor the system often.

I monitor the system as close to 24x7 as I can with PRO96COM.

I also try and update my website as often as I can with the information I log with PRO96COM.

As of today, all but 2 talk groups have the ENC flag enabled. The 2 hits I had that were ENC=N might just be false hits, since they only had single digit pegs and the Encrypted groups are pegged a lot.

Well, just before 07:30 on my drive in, two "i-callers" one encrypted and the other in the clear.
They ID'd as i-100 and i-108, the latter in the clear. With out the details, he's an out of town'er
working on the system.
While this was going on, "DST" and "SRC" were flashing alternately on the second text line.
What's that all about?
