Does anyone else have a problem with this signal? Hard to explain other than to say I hear a loud hum or almost like a tone while they are transmitting from dispatch. I have tried several scanners, in several locations, AC adapter and with just batteries. The noise is at just about the same level as the voice, making it very difficult to monitor. This has been going on for awhile now. I have no problems with other freqs like 159.36, 159.225 etc.

Does anyone else have this issue with 159.285 ?

thanks and happy holidays.

the noise you hear is most likely "line HUm" The radio tie line to the transmitter or something in house....Greene County has the same problem with one console.

I believe this is actually a cross-band repeater in Ft.Johnson. Problem could be anywhere, but you are correct....Montgomery Co has been experiencing major radio issues.
