04-021 OCSD
04-037 PD 800
04-043 Town of Middle Hope PD Tac
04-061 City of Middletown PD Dispatch
04-083 Town of Newburgh PD Patrol
04-111 Woodbury / Harriman PD
Heard all these in Hopatcong, Sussex County, from the Graham Tower.
The two new talkgroups on the system are links to Middletown PD's VHF and Wallkill PD's UHF repeaters as such:
04-061 Middletown PD, LID 387 simulcasted on Schunnemunk and Graham towers full-time.
04-063 Wallkill PD, LID 388 simulcasted on Schunnemunk and Sam's Point towers full-time.
Expect a Pot Jervis link as well. I'm guessing 04-062.
The Sheriff's and POLICE 800 talkgroups as well as the majority of the County talkgroups are simulcasted full-time off all towers regadless of unit affiliation. They are full-time simulcasts.
For example, Town of Newburgh is full-time off Beacon (primary), Arden and Sam's Point. Woodbury is full-time off Schunnemunk (primary), Arden and Beacon. Even if every unit is affiliated to the primary tower, you will hear traffic on all three. Other agencies include Cornwall, City of Newburgh, etc.
Others are set differently to conserve bandwidth to avoid the busy tones, like Blooming Grove. You will not hear them on Arden on their 04-052 talkgroup unless that talkgroup is selected as the primary on the radio screen and a unit afiliates. This is the reason why the county ones are full time simulcasts....if you are a Sheriff's unit and your radio is set on the Sheriff's talkgroup, you will not hear any traffic on the polling channel if you had to wait for a a unit to select that talkgroup and affiliate to that tower to pass traffic even though it's in your scan list.
If a unit travels outside of those towers coverage area to another area and the radio is on that talkgroup, then you will hear the traffic passed on that tower. That is why you may hear Woodbury pop on Sam's Point, etc.
Hope this helps.
