They have not switched back again to low band as the primary for now due to the problems have they ?
I hear them using the old low band call signs today (KEE417)

Correct on the Lakeshore area and also the town of Evans - it is a transmit and receive issue.

As for the new tower I believe all space is spoken for and fire is not being included - homeland security systems I believe.

Freq's will remain for 400Mhz as we have finally made the switch to our proper dispatch and op's freq's - low band will also be broadcast as long as the equipment holds out - any major breakdowns will not be repaired and broadcast will be stopped - this per Erie County Emergency Services

Does anyone have a list of the tone settings for any of the different companies under Hamburg Fire Control ? I wanted to fool around with the fire tone-out feature on the Uniden BCT15X I purchased

Default Hamburg Control Tone Settings

I was able to use the Tone Out Search on the BCT15X to succesfully identify most of the tone settings I was interested in and they all work good, but I am having trouble one specifically - the tone settings for the Village Of Hamburg FD. For some reason, the scanner keeps returning (A - 977.1 hz), (B - 0 hz). It cannot seem to identify the second value (assuming the 977.1 is even correct for the first)

Does anyone have the tone hz settings for the Village of Hamburg FD specifically ? If so please post or reply / send to me. I checked the WIKI and they are not listed although some others are. I think my wife would appeciate this feature that lets me silence the scanner until something I am interested in is active

Jim

Hi - did they ever decide what to do about the signal quality problems you mentioned above ? As far as I can tell, it is still as bad as ever. The signal goes almost completely dead in certain areas along the lakeshore, and I have been in buildings like Wegmans, McKinley Mall, and Walmart with people who have minitors, and often the repeater signal cannot even be received by the pagers. Seems like very poor signal quality for something this critical. Meanwhile the low band signal remains very strong

The county is in the process of adding additional repeaters in Hamburg and Evans - I believe the paperwork has been completed but not the construction.

Hi - just wondering if there was any update on the additional repeaters ? The signal strength still seems as bad as ever. Same dead spots and low signal areas.

New repeater should be operational in Evans in a couple of weeks - they are putting 2 in Hamburg to improve the coverage - one near the lake and not sure where the other is going yet.

Did that new repearter on the lake go live recently by chance ? I seem to have noticed a significant improvement in signal quality along the lakes the last few days

It went on line last Thursday - have a meeting to review operations/performance on Thursday but so far it have dramatically improved signal strength/quality. Not sure when the repeaters in Hamburg will be on line but I would say very soon.
