Has Cayuga switched completely over to the new system yet?

as of yet i believe the only people on cayuga cty system are the city public safety, the cty fire is not actve yet

The newspaper stated they would start using the new system at the end of October . I spoke to a member of a local fire dept and he stated they will start using the new system around November 12th 2012 .

I am trying to decide which scanner to purchase - Uniden 396xt , radio shack pro 106 or GRE psr-500 on the new system . I understand that P25 simulcast is difficult to scan . I live about 2 miles from the closest tower

I have a gre 500 psr and a radioshack pro 197 they both are made by gre and work excellent for wha you need

I've used the BCD396XT with no problems with the system.

I'm using the Uniden BCD996xt with the stock antenna to monitor the CNYICC system in Oswego with no problems. It sure is nice to have the PD on this system, than the crazy one they used to be on.

I spoke to a member of the local fire dept. last evening and he stated that Cayuga County will start using the new system a couple weeks later than originally planned - November 27th

I heard Cayuga County Fire Control testing pagers this morning on 453.4125

If 453.4125 is their new confirmed fire paging frequency, please make sure someone submits it to the database so we can add it.

Is there a PL/DPL associated with 453.4125? Is that frequency being used for combined Fire/EMS dispatch, or Fire only?

460.4125 is the Primary Control Channel according to Radio Reference for Cayuga County (CNYCC) and there are 6 alternate control channels .
This is what I am hearing today.
Cayuga County Fire Control TGID =5314
Cayuga County Sheriff / NYSP TGID=5401
This p25 system is all new to me !!!!

I wonder how well it will work near the Thruway, which has transmitters on 453.4250.

453.4125 is licensed as conventional. The Primary CC for the P25 system should be 460.4125 as listed in the RRDB.

The expected use of 453.4125 is paging for Fire and /or EMS.

Are you really hearing the trunking control channel on 453.4125?????
