With all the recovery work going on around the area, does anyone catch any active military frequencies at this moment?

There are at least 3 dozen Army National Guard that have been buzzing around my town... these guys are the only ones making real progress in getting the roads re-opened, big thanks! I asked where they were from and they said Binghamton, NY... not too far.

Anyways, I found this wiki page which seems to have all the frequencies:

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Military_Frequencies_(NY)

My scanner has been on since Sandy hit, and I have yet to hear anything... maybe they're encrypted, maybe I'm too far away... maybe they don't use the radios, I have no clue. Maybe somebody else has an idea.

I haven't even heard them talking on the local DPW/PD or emergency management channels.

Just caught EMPIRE 460 on 123.1 "landing at the field to drop supplies" ......I believe thats a NYNG call sign. Sounded like NYPD aviation answered him.
